A prosthodontist is a dentist that is specialty trained in the highly
detailed area of placing teeth on top of dental implants. He has had at least
three years of training and is highly skilled in dental implant restorations,
crowns, and bridges, dentures and other areas requiring a much higher level of
skill to restore the mouth. Prosthodontists are often able to help a patient save
teeth that often would otherwise be lost. Some Prosthodontists are also trained
in the surgical diagnosis and placement of dental implants.
An initial consultation provides Dr. Kang and the patient an opportunity
to establish a harmonious rapport and the framework to discuss all that is involved
in the desired procedure. A complete oral analysis will be provided and a treatment
for your unique problems will be recommended. It will be explained that the patient
must be realistic in his or her expectations and goals. Dr. Kang will take a thorough
medical and dental history. The satisfying results, the improvement
in self-esteem, and the good safety record of cosmetic procedure explains why
it is so very popular today. Dr. Kang offers an initial consultation
for $105, which involves a thorough oral analysis, determining the patient's needs
and goals. And reviewing pertinent procedures, as well as conducting a complete
intraoral and extraoral exam. The goal, suggests Dr. Kang, is to address the concern
by determining the problem, then educating the patient and discussing what is
best for the individual so that he or she can make an informed decision. To schedule
